High bad or LDL cholesterol is one of the major risk factors for heart attacks and strokes. A diet which is high in saturated fats and trans fats can raise the level of LDL cholesterol. Unhealthy food is one of the main source of increasing bad LDL cholesterol.
Avoid these unhealthy high cholesterol foods which can raise your bad LDL cholesterol level.
1) Egg yolks: Eggs have lots of health benefit as these contain many good nutrients. But egg yolk is loaded with cholesterol and not good for health. Take only the white part of egg and eliminate yellow part.
2) Alcohol: Too much alcohol consumption can raise bad LDL cholesterol level but moderate alcohol consumption is not harmful, it can raise good HDL cholesterol.
3) Cookies: Cookies and other baked foods contained high saturated fat and added sugar. These can raise LDL cholesterol level. It is better to take low-fat baked foods and limit the use if you like these too much.
4) Fried chicken: Fried chicken are loaded with saturated fat that can raise blood cholesterol level. If you have high LDL cholesterol try to limit it or avoid completely.
5) Red meat: Red meat contains very high amount of cholesterol and saturated fat and increase the bad LDL cholesterol which leads to heart disease.
6) Butter: Butter is a rich source of saturated fat which contributes to increase the bad LDL cholesterol. Avoid butter if you want to control your bad LDL cholesterol.
7) Ice cream: Ice cream is very rich source of saturated fat and sugar that increases the bad LDL cholesterol. It is not good for people who have high LDL cholesterol.
8) Cheese: Though cheese contains many good nutrients like calcium, vitamin A etc. but it also a rich source of saturated fat that can increase LDL cholesterol level. Avoid eating it too much.
