Briefly, the video spins around the idea that HDL quality is very important for atheroprotection. In particular, particle functionality appears to define whether HDL may be antiatherogenic or even proatherogenic. Our work indicates that measurable changes in HDL apolipoprotein content may serve as effective prognostic markers for the early identification of asymptomatic individuals at high risk for a life-threatening acute myocardial infarction.
